PP1

PP1 marks the beginning of formal learning, where children are introduced to structured activities while still enjoying a fun and interactive environment. This stage builds upon the foundation laid in Play Group and prepares learners for PP2.

Key Learning Areas:

• Early Literacy & Language Development:

  • Introduction to letter sounds, blending sounds to form words, and recognizing basic sight words.
  • Learning to express ideas clearly through speaking and listening activities.

• Mathematical Foundations:

  • Recognizing numbers up to 50.
  • Understanding basic addition and subtraction concepts through visual aids and games.
  • Developing problem-solving skills using real-life scenarios.

• Environmental Awareness:

  • Understanding the immediate environment, animals, plants, and their importance.
  • Learning about the weather, seasons, and personal hygiene.

• Creativity & Expression:

  • Art, music, and drama activities to encourage imagination and storytelling.
  • Introduction to simple drawing, painting, and craftwork.

• Physical & Social Development:

  • Activities like running, skipping, ball games, and group play to enhance coordination.
  • Teaching manners, teamwork, sharing, and self-discipline to prepare learners for social interactions.
